Verizon OTA OS update for Motorola Droid X starts today July 19th

It is just been a few days since Verizon launched the Motorola Droid X and it is already ready to release an OTA update starting today July 19th. The verison number of this update is called Version 1.13.604.MB810.Verizon.en.US/Baseband: BP_C01.09.04P and it has many improvements including Improved battery charging status indicator, Redesign of weather widget icons, Smoother transition for camera and camcorder functions, Faster Visual Voice Mail loading and many more. The OTA will be start rolling out on the 19th and will reach most of the handsets in stages over the following few days.

Motorola Droid X OS Update instructions:
- You will be notified that a system update is available on your device. Press "Install now" and your device will power off and back on and the installation process will begin.
- If you choose "Install later" this will delay installation and you will be taken back to the home screen. The system update message will appear every 60 minutes until you install the update.
- If you do not press "Install now" or "Install later" within 3 minutes, the install will begin automatically.
- After you’ve received the first notification of the system update, you can manually initiate by going to "Home" > "Menu" > "Settings" > "About phone" > "System updates". Press "Install Now". Your device will power off and back on and the installation process will begin.
