U.S. Cellular today announced a new variant to the popular Samsung Galaxy S smartphone called the Samsung Mesmerize (SCH-i500). The Samsung Mesmerize features a 4-inch Super AMOLED™ touchscreen with 1 GHz Samsung Hummingbird Application processor running on Android 2.1 OS.

Mesmerize also features six-axis motion sensing for responsive gaming, a 5 megapixel camera/camcorder that records video in HD, MP3 player and 3.5 mm headphone jack, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 and expandable memory up to 32GB.

Pricing and availability

The Samsung Mesmerize will we available from October 27th at U.S. Cellular locations and at uscellular.com for a retail price of for $199 after an $80 mail-in rebate.
