Top 10 Most Popular U.S. Handsets in September
What is the most popular smartphone in the U.S.? It’s not the iPhone, it’s the BlackBerry Curve, according to numbers compiled by RCR Wireless News. And 4 of the top 6 devices feature touchscreens with iPhone leading the pack.
The BlackBerry Curve was almost three times as popular as the iPhone, RCR Wireless News reported. The iPhone was in second place, followed by the LG Dare, BlackBerry Pearl, LG Voyager, and Samsung Instinct.
The rankings are based on data collected by AvianResearch, which uses a monthly poll of service representatives to “gauge consumer interest in handsets available at the four major carriers in the United States.” While consumers may be more likely to purchase the handsets that they’re interested in, this chart is not an actual ranking of the top-selling phones.
