T-Mobile myTouch 3G Features and Specifications

T-Mobile earlier this week on Monday announced the company’s second Android phone, the MyTouch 3G,  based on the HTC Magic platform. It will be available in 3 colors: White, Black and Merlot. It features a 3.2", 320×480 touch screen, 3.2-megapixal camera, MicroSD memory card slot, and built-in video recording and playback capabilities. The T-Mobile G1 smart phone, the first wireless handset to be based on Google Inc.’s Android mobile operating system, carries a Bill-of-Materials (BOM) cost of $143.89, according to a virtual teardown conducted by iSuppli Corp.

Here is the step-by-step instructions on updating Android on your T-Mobile G1 manually. All you need is a computer, internet connection and a way to transfer the firmware to your Micro SD card.
