Sprint unveils HTC EVO 4G Android Smartphone; Gallery & Technical Specs
At the CTIA Wireless 2010 conference today being held in Las Vegas, Sprint CEO Dan Hesse introduced the first 3G/4G Smartphone to be available from Sprint: HTC EVO 4G. This smartphone will be powered by Android OS 2.1 with 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon™ processor and features a 4.3-inch WVGA display screen along with 2 cameras. One 8 megapixel camera with 720p video capture on the back and one 1.3 megapixel front facing camera.
HTC EVO 4G features 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon™ processor combined with the newest version of its HTC Sense UI to ensure a smooth and quick user experience. It will also have new app called Friend Stream that will aggregate updates from Facebook, Twitter and more into one organized flow of updates.
The HTC EVO 4G has a built-in mobile hotspot functionality that will allows up to eight Wi-Fi enabled devices to share the 4G experience. So users can easily share an Internet connection on the go with a laptop, camera, music player, game unit, video player, or any other Wi-Fi enabled device.
