Sprint Palm Pre releasing on June 6th for $199.99
Finally, after many many rumors and leaked images of the Palm Pre in the wild, Sprint has made it official. The long and much awaited Palm Pre will be available for all you fans out there starting June 6th. Sprint today released a press release announcing pricing and nationwide availability of Palm Pre exclusively in Sprint stores and online for $199.99 with a two-year service agreement and after a $100 mail-in rebate.
Palm Pre will also be sold by Best Buy, Radio Shack, select Wal-Mart stores. Palm Pre will run on Sprint’s 3G network dubbed ‘America’s most dependable’ and come with Sprint’s value-oriented Everything Data plans. Sprint claims that their Data plans offer savings of up to $1,430 over two years vs. comparable AT&T and Verizon plans for smartphones and PDAs.
In the press release Dan Hesse, president and CEO of Sprint says, “The argument that you need one phone for work and another phone for play, or that you have to make compromises between business and lifestyle productivity, is over. With Pre, compromises of the past are history.”
Also available will be the Palm Pre accessories. The Touchstone Charging Kit will be on sale the same day for $69.99 and will comes with the Touchstone charging dock and battery cover.
