Skype iPhone App updated to 2.0

Skype has recently released an update to its Skype App for iPhone to version 2.0.0. It is available has an update from the Apple App Store. For beginner’s the Skype App for iPhone or iPod touch allow you to call and send instant message to anyone else on Skype for free. You can also call landlines and mobiles and send SMS anywhere in the world, at great rates. Skype is free to download and easy to use.


What’s New in Skype iPhone App Version 2.0.0

  • Call using your 3G connection. Skype-to-Skype calls on 3G are free until the end of 2010, after which there will be a small monthly fee (operator charges for data will still apply).
  • Near CD-quality sound for Skype-to-Skype calls using wideband audio (SILK codec) on iPhone 3GS, iPad and 2nd & 3rd generation iPod touch.
  • Enhanced call quality indicator.
  • Improved start-up time.
  • Fast access to the dial pad from iPhone home screen.
