Qik Video Streaming App for Motorola Droid

Seeing the potential of the DROID camera, live video streaming app maker Qik has not only added support for Android 2.0 and Motorola Droid but also added the capability to stream 720×480 video live right from the handset. The Qik team has also reworked the UI to support Droid’s amazing new high resolution screen. For starters, the Motorola DROID features a 5 megapixel autofocus camera with the works like 4x digital zoom, dual-LED flash, notification LED, four touch-sensitive navigation buttons, image stabilization and DVD-quality (720 x 480 pixels) video capture at 24 frames per second.

Today Qik announced that users can download the Qik client for Droid from the Android Marketplace.  Also you can also request early beta access to a high resolution Qik client for Droid that can capture videos in DVD resolution. Yes you heard it right, IN DVD RESOULTION. To try this beta version you will need to send an email to droidbeta@qik.com
