Palringo IM App released for Android

Finally there seems to be some competition in the Android IM client space and for the Meebo IM app in particular. Palringo is an instant messaging service that’s purpose-built for mobiles.
Like the iPhone application, Palringo for Android helps you to keep in touch with all your buddies on all the most popular IM services, without installing or switching between different applications. Palringo allows you to chat to your friends on MSN, AIM, iChat, ICQ, Yahoo!, Jabber, Gtalk, Gadu-Gadu and Facebook. However unlike its iPhone version the Android version lacks voice messaging.
It’ll also allow you to send picture messages to any contact, or share your location - a feature which seems a bit extraneous, considering that countless other services with the same purpose (including one built into the Android platform out of the box) are putting a ton of effort into coaxing people into sharing their location without any significant success.
You can also share your own location and see where your friends are right now with just one glance at your contact list. There is also the Groups features which means that there’s always someone to talk to, simply select a group you’re interested in to meet new people or start your own with an existing group of friends.
