Palm Pre to feature iTunes Sync

As Palm and Sprint are preparing to release the Palm Pre on June 6th, 2 new features have come to light courtesy of Palm. The first features is the Pre’s ability to seamlessly sync with the Apple iTunes. Pre will have a media manager that can download music directly from Apple’s iTunes. Palm media sync is a feature of Palm Pre webOS that synchronizes seamlessly with iTunes, giving you a simple and easy way to transfer DRM-free music, photos and videos to your Palm Pre.

Simply connect Pre to your PC or Mac via the USB cable, select “media sync” on the phone, and iTunes will launch on your computer desktop. You can then choose which DRM-free media files to transfer. Apparently Media sync feature also works with iPhoto and syncs photos to the Pre. The second feature is about an Internet-based store, like Apple’s iPhone App Store, where software can be downloaded onto the phone.
