Verizon starts selling Samsung Omnia II

After Samsung announced its new Samsung Omnia II touch screen smartphone back in July, Verizon has now begun selling it just in time for the Christmas holiday season. Samsung Omnia II is the 2nd Windows Mobile 6.5 OS device for Verizon after the HTC Imagio. The Omnia II features a large 3.7-inch AMOLED display with WVGA resolution, TouchWiz 2.0 UI and 3D effects.

Best Buy now offering HTC Hero & Samsung Moment for $100 on Sprint

As part of its Holiday promotion, Best Buy will be selling the HTC Hero and Samsung Moment for only $100. Could the drop in price be attributed to the $99 Verizon Eris? This price is of course tied to a 2 year contract.

T-Mobile to launch Samsung Behold II on NOV 18

T-Mobile today officially announced that it will be launching the Android OS based Samsung Behold II from NOV 18th. For starters the Samsung Behold II will bring together the integration of the Android platform and Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface featuring a 3.2" AMOLED screen providing crisper colors and wider viewing angles. Other features include a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, flash, five shooting modes and video capabilities, up to 16GB of external memory, assisted GPS and Bluetooth.

Just a Moment! Sprint to launch Samsung Moment (powered by Android)

Sprint and Samsung today announced the upcoming availability of a new Samsung Moment touch screen smartphone powered by Google Android OS. Samsung Moment features a 3.2-inch AMOLED touch-screen and will be powered by an 800 MHz processor, making it one of the fastest wireless phones available today.
Samsung Moment offers simple device navigation through an optical joystick located just below the expansive display. It features Wi-Fi capability, integrated GPS navigation and accelerometer. Additional features include:

T-Mobile and Samsung announce Samsung Behold II

T-Mobile and Samsung together today announced a new Android OS powered touch screen phone, the Samsung Behold II. Samsung today announced 3 new touchscreen smartphones: Omnia II, Omnia LITE and OmniaPRO B7610. The Omnia II features Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and the world’s largest 3.7-inch AMOLED display with WVGA resolution. Its scaled down version, the OmniaLITE will feature an easy smartphone interface with full support of multimedia, internet, and business features. From the Today screen, tap on Start
Tap on Settings
From the Personal tab, tap on Sounds & Notifications
Tap on the Notifications Tab, at the bottom
In the Event field, tap on the drop down arrow
Tap on Phone: Incoming Call
Tap on the Ring Type drop down arrow
Tap on the desired Ring Type setting
Tap on the Ring Tone drop down arrow
Tap on the desired Ring Tone setting

After being on the European and the Asian markets for months , the Samsung Omnia (SCH-i910) debuted in the US via Verison’s 3G network a couple of days ago just in time for the Thanksgiving.
