As Palm and Sprint are preparing to release the Palm Pre on June 6th, 2 new features have come to light courtesy of Palm. The first features is the Pre’s ability to seamlessly sync with the Apple iTunes. Pre will have a media manager that can download music directly from Apple’s iTunes. Palm’s decision to leave out the microSD slot from the Palm Pre was purely a design decision as per the Palm Product Manager Matt Crowley. He said this when questioned about the lack of microsSD slot during the week-long Q&A session being held about the Pre on Facebook. Instead of appearing within the Palm blog itself, Palm has taken the rather unusual approach of using a Facebook chat to give their users a chance to interact with, moderated by Palm Director of Online Communications and PR Services Jon Zilber.

This year’s Consumer Electronics Show’s (CES) hottest product was unveiled by the Palm Inc, the Palm Pre running on brand-new operating system called Palm webOS. The Palm Pre features a 3.1-inch, 480×320 touchscreen, a dedicated gesture area below the display, a vertical slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and more, the device is aimed at the same market as the iPhone.
