AT&T Navigator App for iPhone 3G, 3GS

AT&T has released its “Consumer Navigation Application of the year” award winning Navigator application for the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G. Powered by TeleNav, this Navigator application transforms your iPhone 3G and 3GS into a voice-guided GPS navigation system for traveling across the country. It runs on the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G on OS 3.0.
All though the application is available for free from the AppStore, its service will cost you $9.99 per month and will be charged by AT&T directly on your monthly bill.

The Internet radio streaming company Slacker Radio has released its new Slacker Radio application for the iPhone and iPod touch. The Slacker application makes the most of Slacker Internet Radio’s customary dark, good looks on the iPhone’s tall display. The album art is much more prominently displayed on the iPhone and the iPod Touch and the controls take center stage.

Sling Media at this week’s Macworld, will be showing off its upcoming iPhone application SlingPlayer, which effectively gives iPhone owners instant access to their Cable TVs and Tivos from anywhere they have a network connection.
Sling Media is the maker of Slingbox, a piece of hardware that enables users to watch and control live television on their computers or cell phones.

According to a post at the Flickr blog, a new version of m.flickr.com has been released today, and one exciting development is that videos at Flickr should now work on the iPhone 3G and G1.
The Flickr blog says “Videos uploaded from today forward will be immediately viewable through our mobile site. Pushing ahead in the decades-long effort to get computers to understand human speech, Google researchers have added sophisticated voice recognition technology to the company’s search software for the Apple iPhone.
Users of the free application, which Apple is expected to make available soon through its iTunes store, can place the phone to their ear and ask virtually any question, like “Where’s the nearest Starbucks?” or “How tall is Mount Everest?”.

Mapquest has announced a new iPhone-optimized version of their website. iPhone and iPhone 3G users need do nothing more than point their Safari browser to mapquest.com. Mapquest detects the iPhone Safari web browser and serves up an iPhone-optimized version of the website.
