NetFlix iPhone App coming this summer for free

At the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2010 currently being held today, Reed Hastings the Netflix CEO said that the NetFlix iPhone App will be available for free this summer. The Netflix iPhone App will have features like  search, add to instant queue and personalized movie recommendations. Netflix will be taking advantage of Apple’s adaptive bitrate technology. Skype iPhone App updated to 2.0; enables calls over 3G

Skype has recently released an update to its Skype App for iPhone to version 2.0.0. It is available has an update from the Apple App Store. For beginner’s the Skype App for iPhone or iPod touch allow you to call and send instant message to anyone else on Skype for free. You can also call landlines and mobiles and send SMS anywhere in the world, at great rates. Skype is free to download and easy to use.

iPhone 4.0 OS Tethering option found; indicating AT&T readiness

Gadget site Gizmodo has discovered a new option for Internet Tethering in the Network settings section in the recently releases iPhone 4.0 OS Beta software version. There is an alert message (seen in the picture) when setting up Internet Tethering for AT&T customers telling them to call AT&T at 611 or visit AT&T’s website to enable tethering on their account.

Google Mobile iPhone App updated and available on AppStore

A new version of the Google Mobile App for the iPhone has been updated and more importantly approved by Apple for the AppStore. In this new version Google has modified the design such that moew results are shown at once. Developer flpalm has developed a new Google voice application for the Palm pre called the  gDial Pro. Apple to release a 8GB iPhone 3GS soon?

Boy Genius Report has received pictures of some internal Rogers Wireless memo and as per the text on them, it appears that the new 8GB iPhone 3GS will be sold in place of the existing iPhone 3G model. The alleged document says that Rogers has "launched" the new model, and is "aiming to reduce" inventory of the existing stock.

iPhone 3GS news roundup: One million Sold, $30 iTunes Credit and Sound issues

Apple has today officially announced that it has sold over one million iPhone 3G S units during the device’s launch weekend, through Sunday, June 21. Despite the seemingly shorter lines for the iPhone 3G S, the pre-ordering process seems to have done the trick. In addition, the company revealed that more than six million customers have downloaded iPhone OS 3.0 since its release on Wednesday.
