Verizon OTA OS update for Motorola Droid X starts today July 19th

It is just been a few days since Verizon launched the Motorola Droid X and it is already ready to release an OTA update starting today July 19th. Yahoo! releases Search, Mail and Messenger Apps for Android

Yahoo today released many of their products for the Android platform including Android widget for Yahoo search, Yahoo Mail and Yahoo Messenger apps and also HTML5 optimized Yahoo Mail and Yahoo News site.  These latest apps are optimized for popular Android devices like HTC Incredible, Motorola Droid Google Nexus One and HTC EVO 4G. Google Nexus One: First to get Android 2.2 OTA update

Verizon Wireless today at a big event organized in New York unveiled the next generation droid the Motorola Droid X smartphone. Android 2.1 update finally comes to Sprint HTC Hero

After many delays and rumored Sprint has finally announced the availability of Android 2.1 update package for the HTC Hero. This update will not be done over-the-air as of now and so you will have do a manual update. You can get the updates from 2 sites: HTC’s website and Sprint’s own site.

LG Ally in Iron Man 2 Commercial

LG has previewed its upcoming Android OS based smartphone called LG Ally in a commercial based on the new Iron Man 2 movie. It is being reported that it will run on Android 2.1 with now common 1 GHZ Snapdragon processor and also feature a 5MP camera.
