The recently launched Motorola Droid RAZOR phone is now available for only $199. Verizon has made this announced today. Droid razor is one of the thinnest smartphones on the market today featuring a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 16GB of memory and an 8MP camera with 1080p HD video recording capability. Razor also has a Front-facing HD camera for video chat over 4G LTE, 3G or Wi-Fi.

The Droid razor is powered by Android Gingerbread OS version 2.3.5 which is upgradable to Android™ 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. This phone has support for Verizon’s 4G LTE network. With the microSD slot you can expand the 16GB storage to 32 GB.

Verizon in the press release (see below) has also announced that the DROID RAZR will also be available in White and Purple colors and will be also be sold for $199.99 in Verizon Stores and online at www.verizonwireless.com on Jan. 23.

While Verizon has taken some time to drop the price, you might want to consider buying the razor from AmazonWireless is selling this phone for only $99 with a 2-year contract. You can now expect Amazon to follow suite and drop the price even further in the coming days.
