BlackBerry has unveiled its newest touchscreen smartphone called BlackBerry Torch 9800 running on its latest BlackBerry 6 OS. BlackBerry Torch features a 3.2" 360×480 capacitive touch screen display with a 35 key full QWERTY backlit vertical slide-out keyboard. This is the first device from BlackBerry to run on its latest BlackBerry 6 OS and it is powered by a powerful 624 Mhz processor with 512 MB Flash memory. Torch has a 5 MP camera with flash and can do video recording at up to 640×480 resolution.

BlackBerry Torch 9800 Pricing and Availability

Torch 9800 is a Quad-band GSM phone and will be available only for AT&T customers on August 12 in AT&T company owned retail stores and online at www.att.com/blackberrytorch, as well as at Wal-Mart, Best Buy and RadioShack stores. You can buy it for $199.99 with a 2-year contract for a qualifying voice plan and a mandatory data plan. Two Data plan options are available: $15 for 200 MB or $25 for 2 GB.
