Apple iPhone Software 2.2.1 Update released

Apple has released its iPhone Software 2.2.1 Update for its touchscreen devices. They include the iPhone, iPhone 3G, first (1st) generation iPod touch and the iPod touch 2g. According to notes provided with the update, the new version containing “bug fixes and improvements” addresses two issues.
First, Apple says the update provides improved stability for the Safari Web browser. Secondly, an issue was fixed where some images saved from Mail do not display correctly in the Camera Roll.
The iPod touch update also fixes an issue that caused some Apple Lossless files to skip during playback. The update is available to all iPhone and iPhone 3G users by plugging the iPhone into your computer and clicking on the Check for Update button in iTunes.
