1.7 million iPhone 4 units sold in 3 days

Apple today officially announced that it has sold 1.7 million iPhone 4 in only 3 days from June 24th to 26th. Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO has even apologized for those who could not get the iPhone 4 because of supply shortage.

Steve Jobs said, “This is the most successful product launch in Apple’s history. Even so, we apologize to those customers who were turned away because we did not have enough supply.”

The iPhone 4 went on sale from June 24th and is currently available in 5 countries – US, UK, Germany, France and Japan. It is expected to be available in 18 more countries around the world sometime by the end of July.
